Venezuela:

  • Mountains break up Venezuela into Maracaibo Lowlands, the mountainous region in the north and northwest, Orinoco Basin, and Guiana Highlands

  • Brazil covers nearly half of South America. It is the continent's largest nation
  • It borders every nation on the contient except Chile and Ecuador
  • Over a third of Brazil is drained by the Amazon
  • Borders the Atlanic Ocean
  • Climate: tropical but temperate in the south
  • Mostly flat to rolling highlands, some plains, hills, mountains, and narrow coastal belt
